QUICKSILL DALES PONIES

Owning and breeding quality Dales ponies in the heart of Derbyshire for over 35 years

Established by Jackie Snowdon with the purchase of the then yearling filly Millstones Dancer (Raygill Jubilee x Gypsy Moth of Millstones), bred by the Late Mrs I M FitzGerald. This was followed soon after with the purchase of Gypsy Moth of Millstones (Lanquitts Lad x Wheatside Lady) bred by the late T & H Emerson.

Quicksill Dales Ponies is now run as a family concern, with Jackie's daughters, Grace and Evelyn. We have 2 stallions, Homebred Quicksill Purple Heather (Buttonend Another Heather x Pilden Fay Rock), and the impressive grey stallion Stoneswood True Blue (Stainton John II x Stoneswood Fancy Free), bred by the late Mr M Gillatt.

We own several broodmares as well as a number of homebred youngsters.

We breed Dales ponies for the love of the breed and our own enjoyment. We are proud to have aquired and bred true to type, well moving ponies that have beautiful old breeding and bloodlines.

Jackie is currently writing a book about the history of the Dales Pony after encouragement from the late president, Mrs I M FitzGerald, who taught her so much about the breed. More information to follow.
