At Cackleton Croft we never underestimate the importance of correctly and sympathetically starting horses and ponies. They undertake lots of groundwork as we strongly believe that it is correct groundwork and sympathetic backing which leads to happy willing horses and ponies who love their jobs. We always take time to remember that there is no rush. It certainly pays off in the long run.

We take time to ensure we get to know each horse and pony we start individually, in an open minded manner ensuring each is brought on in a manner that suits them best. What works for one horse or pony may not suit another.

All horses and ponies are hacked regularly as we believe this is the basis of a happy and enthusiastic horses that are willing to work as well as helping them see the world.

Sensitive horses and ponies our our speciality, all horses and ponies that arrive on the yard are treated as though they are our own.

We are pride ourselves on producing horses and ponies for their future ridden careers to the best of our abilities, that have trust in their riders and a willingness to work that is evident to see.
